lesson on data logger

Every group had to cut off a leaf from their sunflower and bring it to the science lab. We needed to place the blue-tack on the leaf and placed the leaf into the bottle and stuck it to the side. We turned on the datalogger and we asked someone to blow gently into the bottle and immediately covered the opening with the carbon dioxide sensor. We switched on the lamp to act as the sun and we waited for 30 minutes. While waiting we checked on the status of CO2 in the bottle. we found out that the graph first rose up for a while and fell down again. After 30 minutes, our experiment was successful and completed. Conclusion:
Leaves need carbon dioxide to conduct photosynthesis.
Feelings:
We felt excited.

  1. Both of you must have enjoyed the lesson very much. It is good to see that you are able to come out with the conclusion based on what you have carried out and observed in the experiment and your conclusion is right. Leaves need carbon dioxide in order to carry out photosynthesis.
